A visual, informative and hands-on activity that gives students an idea of how much fresh water is available in the world.
Students will learn why there is less water available and how we can help conserve water.

Understanding Earth and Space Systems, Grade 5 (Conservation of Energy and Resources)
- analyze the long-term impacts on society and the environment of human uses of energy and natural resources, and suggest ways to reduce these impacts (e.g., turning off the faucet while brushing teeth or washing and rinsing dishes conserves water)
- evaluate the effects of various technologies on energy consumption, and propose ways in which individuals can improve energy conservation
